Graphic Designer

Gehl is searching for a talented and experienced Graphic Designer for a book project in our Copenhagen office. The position will be short term (6-7 months) with the possibility of staying on in a freelance position to work on other design related projects. The interested candidate should be experienced and knowledgeable in book design, and book production. They should be able work from a micro to macro scale – from translating complex ideas into simple graphics, to keeping an overview of the book’s graphic universe. They should also be open to taking direction from other graphic designers. If selected, you will be invited to sit along-side the Culture and Communication team at Gehl. The candidate must possess the following skill set: — Be experienced in book design and production. — Be detail focused but able to keep an overview of the book scope. — Have illustration skills - the ability to create simple and convincing diagrams. — Be a good communicator, both in the team and through the graphic styling. — Have an eye for quality and detail. — Be idealistic but pragmatic and able to meet deadlines. — Have the ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. — Be flexible in their role, open, professional and able to share knowledge. — Have knowledge and interest in architecture, design, or urban planning.
