PRODUCT DESIGNER (Eyewear)

PRODUCT DESIGNER WITH 3D DRAWING SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR GREAT DESIGNERS OR UPCOMING TALENT, READY TO CREATE EYEWEAR DESIGNS FOR A NEW BRAND AND E-COMMERCE START-UP JAMIE LOOKS. Jamie Looks is a compassionate brand empowering people through everyday lenses. While offering modern essential eyewear to women and men inspired by global life, flora and fauna, we donate a percentage of our earnings to empower, build and establish safer grounds, better surroundings and a higher life quality for people living in third world countries. The start-up is founded by three ex-management consultants from McKinsey & Company, the Head of Growth at The Hut Group - one of the fastest growing e-tailers and two ex-Rocket Internet entrepreneurs. The startup is currently in the process of being developed (still in stealth mode), and the objective is to go live in ten countries across Europe and Asia in December 2017.  This is a unique chance for you to get insight in how to build and scale a new venture from scratch, allowing you to create collections and define our brand signature from the very beginning. You will be embedded in a very fast-paced, entrepreneurial, dynamic and young environment where creativity, innovation and good ideas are treasured – and implemented! You will become a part of a team which values effective execution, persistency and resilience more than anything. In a nutshell, as a Product Designer, you will be using your skills to: • Work very closely with the Creative Lead, creating and conceptualizing all product categories  • Sketch and refine designs for multiple eyewear collections in Illustrator and/or 3D drawing • Help define the brand product signature and create a design guide  • Assist in all product development tasks  • Create design briefs for future collections • Conduct material scouring  • Investigate and present ideas and targets for product engineering and innovation  And we believe it would be an advantage if: • You are studying or holding a degree in product design; accessories or industrial • You are creative with an eye for shape and color • Have great material, technical, practical and scientific knowledge and ability • You are interested in the way people choose and use products • You’re interested in consumer goods, brands and culture and you are on top of the latest trends • You are proactive, reliable, and have a high sense of urgency making it easy for you to excel in a fast-paced environment We hope you’re interested in joining our start-up!
