About Mayday In September 2017 we launched Mayday — a magazine about culture, society, technology and unpredictable realities. At Mayday, we believe that the future belongs to creativity, free will and strong character, and that’s why we write about the existence of the non-conformists, the eccentrics and the originals. Mayday is made with the intention of creating a new medium in that rare combination of clever and beautiful, serious and playful, concrete and abstract — and always with a forward thinking view on the world. The magazine is produced in Copenhagen, written in English and sold all over the world at shops such as MoMa PS1 in New York, Monocle’s Kioskafé in London and at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark. Who you are We’re looking for a university student, preferably at the end of your studies. You have a lot of knowledge in your field, but perhaps you’re not sure where you want to work when you’re done studying and before that you need some relevant work experience. We are looking for a — preferably — native English speaker who is interested in researching for articles, reports, statistics etc. as well as assisting us in writing and editing. We’re an ambitious team and we expect you to share our ambition and to grow into your role. It’s a plus if you know Danish but it’s not required. The Internship You will get the opportunity to experience a vibrant and creative office environment with many different editorial and commercial projects. Area of work Research assistant and editorial work. Tasks – Researching on specific topics – Writing – Translation – Editing articles – Assisting the Editor-in-Chief Duration Now — March 2018. The internship is full time and we are working towards a deadline (in March 2018) so it’s important for us to know that you will be able to work for the next 4 months. We are of course flexible during exams. Not able to do an internship this semester? You're welcome to send an application for next semester as we will be handling rolling applications as well.
