In your daily job you will be situated in the design department but you will also be working closely with the development engineers in the device projects to ensure feasibility and relevance of your design work. Besides your hands-on tasks in device projects, you will also take part in cross-departmental activities such as ideation workshops and design sprints.
As Junior Industrial Designer, you can look forward to a very versatile position with high possibility of impacting your own job and the projects you work with.
Qualifications
Your educational background is BSc or MSc in Industrial Design. Ideally you have 0-3 years of experience from a similar job. It is a prerequisite that you have experience with concept development as well as hand sketching and CAD modelling. Ideally, you are also experienced in model making and have some insights to production and material constraints. Furthermore you are highly skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite and great at making design presentation material such as 3D-renderings and hand sketches.
As a person you are known for your creative yet structured way of working, which enables you to turn a complex problem into a tangible design solution.
