Global E-commerce Manager

Grow our e-commerce, share knowledge with our partners globally, occasional travelling. Nothing is better than a good night’s sleep… Well you are not going to sleep at work, but we make sure people sleep well with our pillows, duvets and specialty products. Fossflakes is all about great materials, functional design and a unique filling. Our company started 12 years ago. We struggled the first years, but now we are experiencing phenomenal growth and especially the Asian markets are thrilled about our products and our concept of Nordic Sleep. Our small Sales & Marketing office is located at Bopa Plads in Copenhagen, our factory is in Skive and we have strong distribution partnerships in several Asian countries, a subsidiary in Japan and moving towards North America. We are now hiring an e-commerce manager for a quite extraordinary challenge: On one hand we have our own web shop. There is so much we can do better: More appealing platform, smarter strategies, better traffic drivers, clever mechanism for conversions etc. This is the fist key task in your job. On the other hand, we have subsidiaries and partners in Asia that are experiencing huge online sales through various web shops. Our brand is strong, the products are popular and the e-commerce channels in Asia are exploding. The second task in your job is to take all the best practice learnings from both our own web shop and theirs and conceptualize and inspire all partners to do even better. You will work in a small, but effective team. The team consists of the communication communication manager, the CEO and you. We are hands-on people, we work smart and we are not afraid of getting our hands dirty. What we’re looking for: We need a person that is familiar with all the e-commerce disciplines and has a commercial mindset. You shall have a structured approach to your work, be good at testing and following up, master your basic analysis and be able to build a best practice for our digital go-to-market strategy. Furthermore, in time you will oversee maintaining local Fossflake websites across Europe, so we are initially looking for someone who can do a lot of the work themselves. You will initially have occasional travelling to Asia and later to other markets – probably a few times a year – and frequent contact with our partners out there. It is therefore essential that you are comfortable speaking and writing in English. It’s not a must that you speak Danish.
