NADIA WIRE STUDIO is looking for new creative fashion design interns to join our design studio in Copenhagen. We can offer you a great learning opportunity, if you are passionate about textiles and fashion design. You will be a part of a small team and will therefore be give a lot of responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is based in Copenhagen and can start as soon as possible. Danish born and based Nadia Wire will launch her first collection during Copenhagen Fashion Week in January 2021. After graduating from Central Saint Martins and working as a textile designer in London: She returned in 2019 to Copenhagen to start her own label and also to specialise in digital knitting at Stoll in Germany. The brand NADIA WIRE STUDIO is founded on the concept of sustainable and slow fashion. We are a new contemporary womenswear brand offering feminine and innovative knitwear collections on a made-to-order basis. The brand's unique universe pulls you in to a world of colourful and stripy knitwear. Every textile and garment are developed on hand operated knitting machines by our team in Copenhagen. In the beginning of 2020, we will install our first digital knitting machine from Stoll in our studio. Responsibilities include tasks such as: Assisting in the research and design development of our first collection: - Research, drawing and sourcing materials. - Knit development on our domestic/dubied knitting machines. - Creating artworks and technical drawings in Illustrator and Photoshop. - Draping, pattern cutting and machine sewing. What you will learn/we will teach you: - Industry technical knowledge of knitwear design. - The ability to develop an excellent knowledge of design process. - Confidence to continue working in the fashion industry. The Ideal candidate: - Education: Degree in Fashion, knitwear or textiles. - Knowledge about machine knitting is a plus but not essential. - Great skills in machine sewing and pattern cutting. - Comfortable working in Illustrator, Photoshop and In-design. - You enjoy working independently and are not afraid to show initiative. - You are extremely organized and has a strong attention to details.
