Junior Buyer with love for design

BRICpro is looking for a Junior Buyer with a flair for design to join our team in Copenhagen. Who is BRICpro? BRICpro is an ethical sourcing and development company with offices in Copenhagen, China and India. We assist design brands with product development and production of furniture, interior accessories and home textiles at our partnering factories in Asia and Europe. Our clients are high-end to affordable-luxury brands from Northern Europe and USA with focus on quality and sustainability. We work in close collaboration with suppliers and our colleagues in China and India to guarantee a consistent flow and quality in all stages on the production processes. As a responsible and ethical sourcing company, we are member of the UN Global Compact initiative, FSC and the Danish Ethical Trading Initiative. If you want become part of our team, you will be based in Copenhagen and will work in close collaboration with our Head of Production, suppliers and offices abroad. About the position: As Junior Buyer, you will assist our Head of Production with the development of new products, and you will be responsible for managing re-orders with our suppliers and inspection teams. You will have a steep learning curve and the opportunity to develop as you collaborate with a portfolio of exciting international brands and suppliers. The right person for this position has (i) experience in working with international supply chains (ii) very good organizational- and communicative skills, (iii) functions well in a hectic working environment and (iv) a good business sense. We are a small but global team working from various locations in Denmark and Asia, so we offer a flexible working environment where you will have a high level of independence. What you will do: • Controlling quality and on-time delivery for re-orders • Prepare QC reports, production guidelines and sample review documents • Planning of sample developments and productions • Communicate daily with our suppliers in Asia and Europe • Coordinate on-site quality inspections with our inspection teams • Join meetings with new and existing clients • Keep our CSR databases updated • Assist with shipping tasks • Assist our Head of Production and CEO with ad hoc tasks Your qualifications: • You hold a commercial or technical degree within e.g. economics, technical, supply chain management or engineering • Minimum 2 years of experience within purchasing or product development, preferably within the design or fashion industry • Experience with sourcing and supply-chain management • Excellent project management skills • Super user of Microsoft Office • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
